The Braddock District is having a special election for the Braddock District Fairfax County Supervisor
Early voting is open at the Fairfax County Government Center until Saturday, 6 Dec 25.
Additionally, early voting will be available at the
Burke Centre Library from 29 Nov to 6 Dec 25.
Take a look at this and if it looks like you MIGHT be in Braddock.

Chairman McKay relinquished the Chair to Vice-Chairman Smith and moved authorization to advertise publication of the FY 2026 Advertised Budget, the Effective Tax Rate Increase, the Advertised CIP, and the Required Tax Rates as outlined in the Board Agenda Item and give notice of associated public hearings. This includes the advertisement of a real estate tax rate of $1.14 per $100 of assessed value, which reflects a potential $0.015 increase over the current real state tax rate of $1.125 per $100 of assessed value.
Authorized the advertisement of a public hearing to be held before the Board on April 22, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., regarding proposed amendments to Articles 2, 3 and 7 of Chapter 3 of the Code of the County of Fairfax which set forth the ordinances for the Fairfax County Employees’, Uniformed and Police Officers Retirement Systems, for the purpose of adding certain provisions in support of reclassification of the Animal Control Police Officer positions.
Authorized the advertisement of a public hearing to be held before the Board on April 22, 2025, at 3 p.m., to consider amendments to Chapter 4, Article 13 of the Fairfax County Code, that would increase the local tax rate for transient occupancy from four percent to six percent, with an effective date of July 1, 2025, and would make other technical amendments to Article 13.
Authorization to Advertise a Public Hearing to Consider Amendments to the Code of the County of Fairfax, Virginia—Chapter 4 (Taxation and Finance), by Adding a New Article 31 Relating to Food and Beverage Tax and Admin 8 – Authorization to Advertise Publication of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Budget and Required Tax Rates, the FY 2026 Effective Tax Rate Increase, the Advertised Capital Improvement Program for FYs 2026-2030 (with Future FYs to 2035), and Notice of Associated Public Hearings will be considered separately.
